i must say i agree with your comments but aebischer was in his rookie year. and you know what he performed probably the best out of any rookie goalie for awhile. he can do it this year and i think the cup is a long shot right now but trades and performances wil lchange my mind near the end of the season.

I actually have seen them play i travelled to edmonton for 2 weeks and saw them play and i wasnt impressed with either.

Oilers have a pretty good team, but Calgary added guys too, Vancouver retained their most important players, and Colorodo got a bit weaker but still have a solid team.

I agree with the post that Edmonton will finish 4th in the division. sorry "angry jannet"

u call the canucks a one line team??? look at edmonton and calgary there second line is like chuck kobasew and oleg saprikian….. dont be calling the canucks a one line team when they have the 2nd most depth in the northwest

Vancouver will be fine up until the games that really matter, then Cloutier will lead them straight to the golf course as usual.

Everyone seems to be harping on the additions to edmonton and Calgary etc.. as a good thing and I do agree in the long term that is extremely positive. Vancouver hasnt had any major overhaul this season.. a few minor addtions park and Carter... albeit the twins have almost played with everyone but carter so this is nothing new to them. That being said. The canucks have all their core players in tact and should have excellent chemistry to start the season while the others.. minus minnesota with have some trouble in the early part of the season. say the first month. which should allow the canucks to jump ahead and have the edge for the NW Div.

cloutier is way better than conklin ….. vancouver has alot more talent that edmonton as well with bertuzzi,naslund,morrison, sedins, carter, jovanovski, ohlund etc

Minnesota

Vancouver and calgary should battle for top spot.. vancouver has more star power though, colorado will have to figh to make the playoffs but should get 6th-8th. I dont think edmonton is gonna make the playoffs based on pronger/peca alone... peca under achieved last year and while pronger is an all star, edmonton doesnt look to have the depth at forward or talent in goal to win. Minnesota doesnt realistically have a shot at the playoffs
