Numminen to be Coyotes new captain
Teppo Numminen will be the new captain of the Phoenix Coyotes. The appointment will be announced September 11. when the training camp opens.
I thought that Claude Lemieux would be the next captain but Numminen is a perfect choice. He’s starting his 14th year with the same organization and that’s rare nowadays ! Plus, he’s played in two All-Star games and is respected among players and coaches around the league.
So, there are two Finnish captains in the NHL now, who could be the next one…
