Odd salary numbers

I recently noticed some odd payroll numbers with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The NHLPA site and TSN both report Mats Sundin’s salary for 06/07 as $7.6 million and Bryan McCabe’ as $7.15 million.

These figures (Sundin’s, at least) were changed within the last week or two. Sundin salary counted $6.3 million against last year’s cap and McCabe is set to earn $5.75 million.

Until recently, both sites had Sundin at the same $6.3 million and McCabe at $5.75 million for 06/07.

Does anyone know why their salaries are inflated this year? Is there some bonus clause or odd salary structure in these contracts I haven’t heard about?
