Now i never said that hemsky was the same player that jagr was all i said that he has as good or better puck handle skills he doesnt have the hockey sence that jagr has that makes jagr the pure scorer he is.

The Oil will need Nylander to put up numbers like last year with Hemskey taking a step to star status….if not their doomed. Pitkanen is defensive liability- they need to sign someone to cover his ass back ther or Rolie will be hung out to dry. Niinimaa…errr, Pitkanen was got to play a lot of minutes.

I cannot believe anyone would try to compare Hemsky to Jagr. Jagr is a born sniper. Jagr shoots the lights out!! He is pretty close to a perfect scoring machine. Jagr will be in the HHOF on the first year he is eligible. He is one of only 2 active players in the top 15 goal scorers of all time. He is also one of the greatest players of all time.

Hemsky has yet to put together a 20 goal season in his 4 years in the league....

Put that idea to rest. Hemsky is not good enough to tie Jagr's skates.

Jagr and Hemsky are not even compairable when it comes to skill levels and talents. Jagr literally carry's the rangers team offense. He is usually a lock for atleast 30 + goals, 70+ points and thats just his average. Jagr made everyone he played with on the NYR look so much better than what they truely are.

Anyways, Nylander is by no means putting this team over the hump and really this signing will be determinded good/bad when we figure out the length and money....

EDM needs
-scoring.
-top defender.

Hemsky really needs to develop more of a scoring touch. Nylander was made better by Jagr, not the other way around. But he and Hemsky could be a good combination.

yah after watchin jagr in the playoffs i seen a lot of similarity between him and hemsky. still need hemmer to shoot a little more, cus he does have a great shot, and he'll play a lot like jags.
