Oilers obtain free-agent Daniel Tjarnqvist
The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with free agent defenceman Daniel Tjarnqvist on a one-year contract.The 6’2″, 200-pound native of Umea, Sweden spent the 2005-06 NHL season as a member of the Minnesota Wild. In 60 games with the Wild, the 29-year-old blueliner scored 3-15-18 with a career-high 32 penalty minutes. He averaged 19:46 minutes of ice time per game to rank third on the Wild roster and second among defenceman.
