SIGN AND TRAdE…SIGN AND TRADE…SIGN AND TRADE.

Olli, come to Ottawa and win a Cup here man, then we can trade you back to the Panthers in the Summer.

SIGN AND TRADE…SIGN AND TRADE…SIGN AND TRADE.

Everybody gets what they want. Ottawa gets a Cup, Florida gets more depth/draft picks from the deal, Olli gets playoff experience, and Ottawa can’t afford him so we will trade him back to you at the draft.

SIGN AND TRADE…SIGN AND TRADE…SIGN AND TRADE.

get real, they’re not going to lock they’re number 1 scorer into a 4 year deal and then chance losing him! thats stupid and Florida isn’t to far away from becoming the next ottawa anyway, and don’t laugh because people used to laugh at the sens and tampa, who’s laughing now???

olli likes florida and loves to play with louie, which, btw, olli signing with the team long term was one of louie’s stipulations for staying with the team! I see Florida making a splash either before the deadline or during the summe for sure, they want to keep louie and louie wants to see the team make a commitment to winning!

other players will see what roberts and niuey saw, a chance to play with one of the games best neminders in luongo and will want to sign here, plus, with 6 mil offered to louie and 4 offered to olli, management’s finally showing a commitment to its players!

Jokinen to turn down Panther offer

The 27-year-old star centre can become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Sportsnet.ca — Florida Panthers captain Olli Jokinen is not interested in Florida’s latest contract offer of four years, $16-million. A source close to Jokinen told Sportsnet the Finnish centre will flat out turn it down.

“We are in two different neighborhoods,” the source said, “so it’s an easy response — no thank-you.”

The 27-year-old star centre will become an unrestricted free agent this summer if he can’t agree to a new deal with the Panthers. The Jokinen camp is confident he will inspire a flurry of interest on the open market.

“We have absolutely no problem waiting until the end of the year,” the source told Sportsnet.

Jokinen leads the Panthers in scoring with 56 points (25 goals, 31 assists) in 53 games this season.

    are you losing your mind?

Would the real Paul Laus please stand up!

  7. Neely4Life says:

Id give up Vulchankov and Vermette for him! This guy is still young and the sens can sign him for the next 3 years too when they part ways with smolinski and Varada. I hope the sens make a serious push for this guy.

  8. thatleafsguy says:

Why would you give up Volchenkov and replace him with who? How can the Sens sign Jok and Redden and Chara in the off season????? If they make a deal for him they aren’t going to re-sign him unless he takes a discount rate……..not likely at this point in his career.

  9. zdeno_duchesne says:

    who the ***** is louie?

  10. thatleafsguy says:

    luongo…….. zdeno_douche-sne

  11. Neely4Life says:

YOu get rid of smolinski, 2.3 mil right there, and Varade, 1.2. Thats a little over 3 mil. Redden and Chara will take about 5 mil each back in ottawa, 6 plus on the open market. And with the cap going up, they have about 3 mil extra. you give jokinen 4-4.5 mil. volchenkov is expendable, the sens are deep on the blueline, and with Brian Lee developing faster than expected, he could make the jump, not 06-07, but defently 07-08. And if the sens wanted to go out and sign a vet for 1.5 or under, they can do that too.

  12. muckies says:

Hasek, Spezza, Neil, Havlat, Phillips all will want raises.

If they get Olli, they got to get rid of somebody who’s making alot of money, probably 2 guys.

  13. Neely4Life says:

how is havlat gonna get a raisE?

  14. Neely4Life says:

and ***** niel, n e thing over a million is a waste, they can find some other body to stand in front and put in rebounds.

  15. muckies says:

I agree, Havlat shouldn’t get a riase, Neil could score 20 and how do you keep him from 1 million if he does? But Spezza, Hasek alone will eat up any space left under the Cap.

I think Ottawa needs to get a good back-up goalie. Razor just seems to not have alot of confidence in himself, and he may be fine as career back-up and sub in guy, but he doesn’t stike me as a Stanley Cup type goalie. He’s to hot-cold and just seems a little *****ed in the ehad, the Tyson thing, hwta the ***** is he thinking. I’d say trade him, to a Minnesota for Rolston. Then get one of the left over back-up goalies.

  16. Laus723 says:

louie is ***** Luongo, genius! thats pretty well what everyone calls him down here!

  17. Neely4Life says:

maybe if razor and spezza wernt always in the market getting bombed, spezza wouldnt turn over the puck so much, and razor could stop a shot. I always see them at the bars, those *****ing Lushes. And Spezza will get about 3 mil. And if Hasek wins the cup, i dont think he will be back.

  18. muckies says:

Thats cool Spezza liks to get bombed, he looks like a guy that would be a fun drunk.
