Only 3 Choices for Brian Leetch!

Leetch was reported as becoming more serious about finding a team to sign with for this upcoming season due to teams opening camps in less then a month or so. But no news yet!? Where will the ready to retire, Brian Leetch, QB one last time?

As a Ranger fan I’m still hopeful. But these are really his only smart choices that he has left…..

Like Roger Clemens, (but at somewhat slightly less then him) Brian Leetch is looking for one last place to call home. One last place to QB. And what better place would thier be then to come home? Roger Clemens wanted to come home and he did, the Astro’s had open arms. Brian Leetch should follow those footsteps and seriously consider coming home to retire for one last year in any roll posable.

With a Ranger team already having spots filled Leetch really has no place else to go. Boston? reports have it that they dont want him back due to earlier signings they have done this off season. Toronto isn’t going to sign him back up. So who else will take him so that he can retire? If he decides to hang them up, Leetch really only has 3 choices to go out with any type of a bang.

1. Retire now. Stop playing and retire having played for your last team/place you where born… Boston as your last stop.

2. Wait it out untill February when injury’s may have hurt some teams that are in contention and that need a QB or playmaking Defencemen. giving yourself one last shot at winning before you go, and seeing post season action.

3. Come Home. Come back to where it all started… where the fans will love you every night even if some of them didn’t want you back this year. Sign a minimum contract and be the 7th Defence-men on the bench. Heading the Power Play Unit and giving yourself a chance to compete for a cup one last time in NY.

Even though Choice 2 sounds good to some people it may not be a reality. And coming home would be much better anyways.

Starting in a new city, and living in a new town is not something he needs at the last season of his career… it would be a meaningless season unless signing with a cup contender… But why go some place unknown and unfamiliar to you for your last NHL season of what was an amazing career?

It’s time Leetch… Put problems aside with Sather and just make the right move. This Ranger Fan would love to have you on or bench.
