San Jose and Ottawa Senator trade rumor………

There is a rumor that the San Jose Sharks are looking at dealing left winger ALEX KOROLYUK to the Ottawa senators in exchange for defenceman CHRIS PHILLIPS. This was according to a report out of an Otawa Daily News paper………….

Competition Tight to Make Team

Back at the summer mini-camp, Gretzky confessed that there were plenty of absent players who would still be in the running for the Olympic squad. A month into the season, the picture isn’t any clearer, in fact, choices may be even tougher now.

Oilers Roll Through October

Edmonton could tie a team record on Tuesday with a win over the visiting Montreal Canadiens. Only two times before has an Oiler team had 9 wins in October, in ’81 and ’83. This year’s team could do the same by beating the Habs tomorrow night and it would cap off a pretty decent month for the Oil.

League and Olympic Thoughts

One big trade this week, is it a sign of things to come? Team Canada’s top dogs are on the prowl scouting a handful of teams this week, who’s Gretzky got his eye on? Plus more notes on the season so far.

Officials Officially Stink

Besides the ridiculous game suspensions handed out recently, the officials on the ice temselves are ruining the games.

Axelson a healthy scratch, could Allison be traded tonight?

I just tuned in the Bruins game and found 2nd line forward PJ Axelson a healthy scratch. Could this be a sign that a trade involving him and Jason Allison be going down tonight? I know there is an unwritten rule if a player to be traded he is either scrathed or benched if it happens during a game. It just doesnt make sense that he is scratched. If anything is announced during the game, I will come back and post it. If anyone hears anything on the Anaheim broadcast please post it.

Don't We All Love Summers?

So many big name players, so little time. So many big names were either traded or signed this summer, like Roenick, Jagr, Lindros, Turgeon and others, that we will go through the same thing again for next summer, or who might be traded before or by the trading deadline?

Another Allison Rumour!!!

On espn.com they reported 2 possible trades a three team trade between LA, Edmonton, and Boston and another trade between just la and Boston. The first rumour consisted of Jason Allison going to la, glen Murray & Vishnovski going to Edmonton, and Tom Poti and Ryan Smyth going to Boston. This would obviously be a cost cutting idea on Edmonton’s payroll and a large increase in la’s payroll.
