According to the NY Post Rangers coach Glen Sather will step down as coach today. He will break the news to his team at practice today. Sather was the 3rd coach the Rangers have used since he took over as GM four years ago. The other coaches were Ron Low and Bryan Trottier.
Assistant coaches Terry O’Reilly and Tom Renney are possible replacements as interim coaches.
Sportsnet.ca reports that Blues Head Coach Joel Quenneville has been fired. Assistant coach Mike Kitchen will be the interim coach for the rest of the season.
TSN.ca reports that Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Barnett has fired Bobby Francis and replaced him with Rick Bowness as interim coach.
