Aren't You Glad No One Wanted Him??

Looks like Curtis Joseph will stay in Detroit after all…

The Real Legendary NHL Team

At the 2004 All-Star game in St. Paul on Sunday, they named the NHL Legendary All-Star Team, which consisted of Wayne Gretzky centering Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull, a Bobby Orr – Ray Bourque defensive pairing, and Patrick Roy in the net. When you think of the all-time line, this is really a fine choice. However, last time I checked, a team is made up of twenty guys, not six.

It's Official – Burke is Headed back to Philadelphia

According to and the team’s official website, the Sean Burke trade to the Flyers has indeed happened.

The old hand in the nets out west, Burke returns to Philadelphia along with young wingers Branko Radivojevic and Ben Eager in exchange for Mike Comrie.

Thoughts on the *AHL* All-Star Skills Competition…

I never had any intention of doing an AHL version of this and then FoxSports Detroit went and replayed the Skills Competition for the AHL All-Stars late last night and I found myself devouring it as well. This is fun because you get to see a lot of upcoming NHL prospects for the first time and judge them for yourself.

(By the way, the actual All-Star Game is to be held tonight at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI).

And so here we go, here are some of my thoughts upon seeing the AHL All-Star Skills Competition:

Flyers Trade…. Nope, Not The One You Think Of!

Bobby Clarke traded today defensemen Eric Weinrich to the St.Louis Blues in exchange for a 5th round pick in the 2004 draft…

St. Louis is in a dark cave, and can't get out

The sad thing about the St. Louis situation is most of the fans here in St. Louis knew that this would be a hard season. But we had no idea…

Rick Jackman Available

Leafs Defensman Rick Jackman wants to play in Toronto but after dressing in the first 16 games of the season he has only dressed in 13 of the teams past 39 games and he is growing frustraded.

Net Gain

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired goalie Sean Burke from the Phoenix Coyotes, ESPN’s John Buccigross has learned.

Thoughts on Watching the YoungStars/Skills Competition…

Well tonight (Saturday night) was the YoungStars game and the Skills Competition. While a lot of people bash these events as boring, I enjoy watching them because you get a chance to examine players you wouldn’t normally get a chance to see play very much. And as such, you also see things you wouldn’t normally see.

Here are some of my thoughts…

(Note: This is not a recap, this is a collection of thoughts that are probably more-enlightening to someone who watched the events already)…

Bruins Growling….Is Anyone Listening?

Is it just me or has everyone totally disregarded the push that the B’s have been making the past few weeks….
