Jeff O’Neill has struggled to find his goal scoring touch all year and now has wound up as one of the big names in the rumour mills and the trading block.
A very reliable source is telling me that Georges Laraque is headed to the Ottawa Senators as early as Saturday. Another source is saying that it is done that he’s headed to the Sens, they just are discussing who/what is coming back the other way.

Last night TC_4 and myself went to the Oilers/Ducks game. This was my first opportunity to finally see the Ducks for myself without the like of the TV. As I watched the game I increasingly became more and more frightened by what I saw. According to a few sources, the Thrashers will be awarded the 2005 All-Star game. The NHL plans to announce this after the sale of the team is finalized, which should happen sometime in the next few weeks. The relatively new venue, Philips Arena, is likely one of the bigger reasons for this. Of course, with a possible lockout upcoming, this All-Star weekend could be pushed back or even cancelled.
Okay recently there have been two unusual suspensions in the NHL. The first is the Sundin stick incident, and the second the Roenick water bottle incident. For anyone living under a rock, the first one saw Sundin after breaking his stick on a shot attempt throw his stick twenty rows into the stands, the second incident had Roenick throw his water bottle at a ref after a missed high stick call.
