It is ubsurd that everytime rumors come up involving the Leafs and another player, Darcy Tucker's name comes up...

When are the leaf fans gonna realize that if you want a good player you are going to have to give up more than Darcy Tucker as the centerpiece of any deal? You ain't gonna acquire Peca, a solid defensive center for Tucker without having to give up a young player and perhaps draft picks.

And don't tell me you'd give up Reichel--young players who are worth something is more than likely the asking price.

Let's think about this. The islanders are in a slump (at least partially) because they let the media get to them about letting go team leader Jason Wiemer. We all know that in reality that was a smart buisness decision, seeing as Wiemer was making to much money for no results. Same deal with Peca, right? Are you kidding me?

As you've all pointed out, Peca has not been the same player since his infamous injury, one of the most brutal, malicious, intenttoinjuretastic (i'm making up words the memory makes me so angry!) plays in recent memory. Of course it was Darcy Tucker who threatened Peca throughout the entire series before destroying his knee, shoulder, and the isles playoff hopes. So much for that deal.

Also, if the New York media was pissed off because they thought Jason Wiemer was a key clubhouse leader...well, you can imagine with me how ticket prices would flop...not to mention the team's play

Thats what I thought you meant, but I wasn't sure. Just tired of all the leaf haters saying they don't have any prospects. The problem in TO was Quinn's loyalty to his veterans. The only way a kid got in was when a vet got hurt. But now with Ferguson there, I would suspect that those youngins might see some action.
