Who among the pending UFAs in Calgary will be traded?

Last season had the Jarome Iginla watch, with Jay Bouwmeester a second story and Miikka Kiprusoff’s status followed closely.

The biggest name among this year’s crew of players in the final year of their contract is unquestionably the currently injured Michael Cammalleri, the two-time 30-goal scorer (and only person on the team who can make that claim). Cammalleri has a limited no-trade clause, so the Flames will have many more options for trade partners than they had with Iginla. How he plays for the first few months will impact the possible return.

The other pending UFAs are forwards Matt Stajan, Lee Stempniak, Blair Jones and Tim Jackman, and defencemen Chris Butler, Kris Russell and Derek Smith.
