Penguins have extended offers to three.

Pittsburgh now that the draft is over and days away from July first have decided to kick it into high gear to maintain what players they can. Reports from a local news station have just reported that the pens have tendered offers to three of there major role players.Pittsburgh has offered contracts to Bill Guerin, Ruslan Fedotenko, and Petr Sykora. I don’t know all the detail to all offers except Guerin’s is a one year offer. This is only a starting point on contracts and I’m sure counter offers on on there way but as it stands it looks like the Pens are making there moves known of who they plan to keep and are expecting to lose Scuderi in free agency.

Other reports comming from other sources in Pittsburgh also have stated that if the Pens can’t maintain the services of Guerin and Fedotenko that they are looking at Mike Knuble as a possible replacement for one of them. Other rumors also state that the Pens will be a major buyer for the services of a Major Defensive-man in free agency. They didn’t specify which Star defensive-men they where looking for but one can only guess.
