I heard Markov really enjoys the white stuff so maybe he will try to sign with a Canadian team so he can play in the snow too

I wouldn't want the Flyers to play against a Pens team with him 8 times a year. Thats for sure.

Danny Markow would be what the doctor ordered. He is a top 4D, and will fit in the Pens system very well and make them a real contender. I am surprised taht he is still out there looking for a deal. Ray, get that pen out and sign Markow asap.

The Pens should offer him a 1 year deal since they've got more priorities next summer. But Maybe since Danny's bounced around so much he won't go for a 1 year deal?

Anyway's my personal feelings for Danny Markov off the ice aside, on the ice he's a very good d-man, and would solidify Pittsburgh's top 4 D as:

Whitney-Gonchar
Sydor - Markov

Since they're contenders, I think they should go after Markov because defense is their only real weak spot.

Could very well be, but I was only able to trace it on “print” to Buzz, hence why my post. However, if you are talking about Madden talking about it, it happened after Buzz had posted on their blogs, since you can find on their blogs when eventually Madden made reference to Markov many posts into it.

i think its 3million a year because that is what Markov was asking as the minimum he would accept. If the Pens get Markov, watch out, they could win the East. Every team could use Markov, he is a warrior, he can hit, block shots, play on the PP and PK. The only down side to Markov is that he usually plays only 60 games a season but other than that hes a great defencman

It actually started from a local pittsburgh radio station. Then probably someone told someone who told nhlline or buzz on burgh or whatever.
