Now, many people think the rules “change” when you goto a checking or grind line, but I disagree, therefore, the only place I see Fata fitting in is as a 4th line left wing.

And since the power-play league that has become the NHL basically prevents the existence of a 4th line, you want your last 3 players to be strong penalty killers. Rico Fata is not very good on the PK.

Koltosv is a great left wing from my perspective, I would like to see him goto the net more, but he is still young and has room to grow. I would like to see Hussey center his line with Lasse on the right as Lasse has a decent scoring touch, but doesn’t have the hockey sense, IMOHO, to play center.

The city could have spearheaded an arena attempt, they didn’t, and I am not surprised.

When the Stillers wanted a new stadium, notice how I said wanted because they didn’t need one like the Penguins, they got it in a flash.

First, Pittsburgh has an older population and therefore most of their memories revolve around Steelers Super Bowl runs (at that time the Pens were God awful). Secondly, Pittsburgh (being a small market) could almost always believe the Steelers had a chance because of the Cap that’s been in place for awhile.

I think if you look at the younger generation many of them have an equal appreciation for the Pens, because we grew up during their Cup runs. Additionally, the team should at least have a “chance” to compete every year now that all teams are on equal footing which makes your second point moot.

As to your second point, I don’t exactly know how Pittsburgh politicians are corrupt. I’d love for Mario to get a new arean more than anything in the world, but I don’t think can call the politicians corrupt. Yes, they did promise to help Mario after the completion of the other two stadiums BUT that was before the economy went to absolute crap. Pittsburgh is severely in the RED and doesn’t have extra money lying around to help out (when they’re forced to close pulic facilities, reorganize their police dept, reorganize school districts, etc. due lack of money). Then as I said in a previous post, the Pittsburgh city council has ZERO to do with the awarding of the slots licenses. At this point, Pittsburgh may not even get a license thanks to governeror Rendell.

I agree with you that anybody who played the game has a greater appreciation for the smaller things that don’t show up on a scoresheet, but you also don’t defend points very well. Just because you make a statement does not mean we should all except as the truth. It should do what this site was meant to do and that is facilitate a debate.

I don’t think you should be banned. I think you should a, drop the football references (you know thats just a cheap way to get under Pittsburgher’s skin). And B, don’t let your feelings get hurt when somebody has a different opinion.
