First of all I'll post some rumours that I have heard about recently.

1) I heard that the Leafs are in fact having talks with Peter Forsberg's agent. The problem with that of course, is cap room as we have filled our cap space with defencemen salaries. So if Forsberg is ever coming to Toronto, I would think that we will have to move Kubina (the Islanders are interested in him I've heard) or give up prospects like Stajan and Coliacovo. Right now we are in no position to give up our young guys. Its time to realise that we need to bulk up our rookies and draft picks to make a solid team from the ground up. Still, the possibility of getting Forsberg is slim, but what a hell of a thrill it would be if we could get it done properly.

2) I have also heard that the Curtis Joseph is still interested in coming to Toronto, and we are working on making it happen. The rumour is that we are looking to trade Raycroft to Ottawa to give a spot for Cujo, and also we create some cap room, and get a prospect or future draft pick from Ottawa. Talks of Joseph coming back to the Buds is always exciting, but we have to make a practical trade to make it worth while. Don't forget, we traded away Tuukka Rask for Raycroft, we sure as hell better get a prospect just as good as Rask back for Raycroft.

Line combos:
Tucker - Sundin - Steen
Blake - Wellwood - Bell
Kilger - Stajan - Battaglia
Antropov - Pohl - Ponikarovsky

Kaberle - Kubina
McCabe - Coliacovo
White - Gill

If Kubina should be traded, move Coliacovo to the top line, and bring up Wozneiwski, Kronwall, or Harrison. Wiat a while before bringing up Stralman as he will probably end up replacing Gill come the end of next season (im pretty sure he only signed a 2-year)

Blake is also a good PKer and would add some depth to that position.

Also, rumors are the Peca would be signing for somewhere in the 1.5 range rather than the 2.5 range which would give some wiggle room for the deadline.
1.) Despite popular rumors, caps lock is *not* cruise control for cool.

2.) Great goaltending? cmon. I'm as big a Leafs fan as they come but I'm not calling it great. I'll give you above average or good, but not great.

3.) Great special teams? We had the 27th ranked PK and 16th ranked PP. Granted the PP would have been better with Tucker and Welly not being injured and the PK would have been better without Peca being injured, however, even with those guys back (this is assuming Peca signs which is far from a lock) and with the addition of Blake, our PP may get in the top 10 in the league but won't break top 5 and our PK will maybe get into the top half. Again, I'll give you slightly above average, or decent, but not great.

Omg dude, some of those trades are pretty horrible and unrealistic sorry, some are ok.

Why would the leafs give up a great goalie tandem for a OLD washed up player, bad trade. The leafs arent trading young goalies for wash ups anymore.

Ryan Clowe?!? WHO?? yess i know who he is but he is NOT worth McCabe and ontop of that a pick? ur crazy, as many mistakes that he makes he scores alot too and is a big part of the team.

And if the Leafs are trading away Matt Stajan, its in a package to get back some value like in ur Hossa trade. Were not going to trade him for picks thats stupid. By needing cap space you DONT trade one of your most INEXPENSIVE players hahaha omg... numbers people numbers...look at them..

With that said i really like ur last trade though! And the Kubina trade is OK if the draft picks are high, as expensive as Kubina is he still have lots of value.
