Probably true but you never know. Kaberle getting a 1st and blue chipper plus a conditional and Burns getting a top 6er, 1st, top prospect have set the market. Suter is better than both. Nashville can ask for a lot and teams will pay I think.

But I'm sure an arrangement can be worked out.

To NYR - Weber, contract dump (to keep Nashville under the 50 limit)

To Nashville - Staal/Girardi (don't care which), Dubinsky/Stepan, Kreider/Miller, 1st 2012 (Fedetenko/Wolski for salary purposes)

Hopefully Suter sees the moves Poile made and resigns. Use the two picks to possibly move up into top 10 territory and grab a guy like Gaunce or Galchenyuk.

If Suter won't stay, trade him at the deadline, maybe to Philly for JVR, Couturier, 1st 2012. Then see if you can pry Green from Washington (he might be done there and they might want to move on with Carlson, Orlov upcoming and Wideman playing damn well). If you can get him for cheap, do it.

Well personally I'd want some physicality coming back to replace Weber's. Losing Weber is a huge loss to that defense. That's why a deal involving Girardi/Staal would be of huge interest to me, were I Poile.

Take out Tanger and add in Despres, it would gain further thought, you may also need to replace Martin with a different player. Who is to say with there depth on quality dmen, they would even want one back for sure?
