The 31-year-old Canadian defenseman was a member of the Rangers last season, scoring 3 goals and 4 assists and spending 66 minutes in the penalty box during his 65 game stint with the Blueshirts.

The Rangers have been ravaged by injuries as of late, including blueliners Fedor Tyutin and Karel Rachunek, not to mention forwards Brendan Shanahan, Martin Straka, and Marcel Hossa.

The Rangers expect Strudwick in the lineup tonight when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins.
