The Rangers are chasing Boyle but are also willing to deal Marian Gaborik, who has one year and $7.5 million left on his deal. That’s a high price tag. Is there a market?

Darren Dreger: Multiple teams have called the Rangers to express some interest or at least get a feel for what is going to be needed to move Gaborik. But you’re right; the price is high although the Rangers are very protective. They remind anyone that asks that this guy has scored 30 goals or more seven separate times in his NHL career. The Rangers are still looking for a top-four defenceman, and they want a top-nine forward; someone with a different element – a bit of grit – going into the playoffs. They’ve got enough scoring power, or so they thought they did going into this season, so Gaborik most definitely could be in play.
