Its the easiest way for them to get that dman they need so desperately. They would just need to make sure the 3rd place team isn't going to being wanting Murray too haha.

So apparently Kubina will be traded sometime between now and the deadline. The team held him out of practice and will do so until he's traded. They want to protect team interests. He was also asked for a list of teams he would go to (since he has a NTC).So no trade apparently, but likely will be one. Speculate

Trade down to the 2nd, grab a good player, trade the 2nd to the 3rd, grab a good player, then draft the best D. (assuming Murray goes 3rd)

I don't think that they will or even that they should trade Myers. When I look at the teams in the 4-9 range in terms of picks this year, there are some notable young defencemen.

Myers, Hedman, Subban, Fowler, Bogosian.

I don't think any will be traded but the Oilers should pursue them. I think it would be in their best interest to trade down from 2 grab Murray and one of these defenceman. Myers and Fowler would be my top choice.

On a side note does anyone think there is any chance Buffalo moves Myers and Ennis. If I'm Edmonton those are two guys i want to add. Both are from Alberta, Myers is the guy they could build their defence around. If they can add Myers and Murray, that would be huge for them moving forward.

Miller ++. It would be good for Buffalo. Being from there, he would be the guy they build their team around. I guess the hawks could move him if they're getting a top 6 forward back.

This is very true. Granted it all depends on the Rangers keeping this up.

The Bruins core going forward is really only going to lose Chara and Thomas. Two big players, but only two.
