    Imaginations are fun.

  2. Pronger44 says:

After scoring lastnight, and teams are calling about him, I say just trade him. He's been awful all year but unless lastnight was a sign of things to come, I just don't know about Ryder anymore, personally I would trade him if I was Gainey.

  3. yarfangor says:

Sure I say trade him too! but to NYR? o_O what could we possibly get from NYR? Prucha? Give me a break, get ryder included in a blockbuster trade, or a trade that actually works for the team. Don't trade garbage for garbage. You want your team to do well with the players you can get. Get someone that we would actually use, who can put points up, or take a punch and give one, or can motivate all the players with his talent, personality, grit. Someone like that, don't trade a slumping player for another slumping player.

  4. habsrock99 says:

I've been saying it for nearly a month, all it'll take to get Ryder is a 4th Round pick. If Gainey can somehow sucker a team into giving him a 3rd or 2nd, great, but unless Ryder begins tearing it up, he's worth just a bit more then Andrew Raycroft.

Tell me, nearly 40 games of dick all (4 goals) from a supposed 30 goal scorer and he's hurt the prodcution from the 1st line, a 4th Round Pick doesn't sound too bad now does it?

  5. ferron says:

Not to the Rangers, here is why. When was the last time the habs traded with a team from the same conference? Next they would get a lot at the deadline for a Package including Huet, Streit and Ryder, this is the perfect package for any team in the playoffs race, these guys are making a total of 6.175 000 mil/year , so that means that if we trade them with 20 games left the other team would only have to pay 25% of their salaries, witch would be around 1.550 000 mil for the remaining of the season and playoffs for a top 10 NHL goalie in Huet, an offensive defenseman an PP expert(Streit) who already has 23pts by only playing around 12 minutes a game and Ryder who looks better every games. A lot of team will be interested in those 3 from now till the end of the trade deadline, who's not even two months away!

Next we all know that other teams won't trade Superstars at the deadline for rental players but they will trade top prospects and 1st rounder(s), especially for players(Huet, Ryder, Streit) who will all became UFAs next summer so the team who we will trade them to, will not be stuck with unproductive players next season, witch makes them very attractive.

  6. ferron says:

I heard that the Rangers are looking for winger(s) and desperatly need defensemen! I also heard that they where try to trade Jarg and his big contract! So how about this?

To NY= Ryder, Streit, Bouillon, Grabovski, Fisher, 1st

    To Montreal= Jarg, Orr, Stall

Georges has been playing very well lately, witch is very surprising, hopefully he will turn into a Streit!

u must be sniffing something bud ,because what you just printed was utterly sad ….so open a window and smell some fresh air please …

  8. jayhabsjay says:

ok, so all those guys for jagr, orr and stall. ok, now who else are the habs giving to get them? i mean come on, the rangers would be brain dead if they di that.

  9. Pronger44 says:

ferron, honestly, why do you even come on here to post crap like that… I’m a Habs fan and even I find that trade to be the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen on here in a long time. I guess writing it on here was a better method then posting it as a rumor on the main page, but come on man, be a little realistic here.

  10. ferron says:

Coming from the same guy who once said that Thorton wasn't one of top 5 foward in  the NHL? Nobody realy care what you think.

  11. ferron says:

Show me "1" realistic trade proposed on Hockeytraderumors.com , none of them ever happened , I was just messin around.

  12. careyprice31 says:

well all year i was also in agreement that ryder should be traded but if this line of higgy laps and ryder click why not stick with it and see what happens cuz for the first time in a long time i look at montreal and to me they have 3 well balanced lines there fourth line is decent i think even better when kostopoulous sits and chipchura plays i means u look at this team i think we can actualy start to believe that we can contend.

Now this is assuming ryder continues playing like he does of course

  13. Rico71 says:

    This is reality.

Not EA NHL 2008. Drop the pipe.

    Reality check.

  14. Hockey75 says:

I wouldn't be surprised if Montreal traded Ryder because he only has 11 points in 34 games (2007 half of season).

  15. Hockey75 says:

You wrote Kostitsyn name twice (third and second lines).

  16. Dukes says:

There is nothing worth real value in the NYR organization that they would be willing to deal that would actually help the Habs. If a change of environment is what Ryder needs, then why not think of sending him along with either a draft choice or a minor leaguer like Kostitsyn to SJ for one of their players that need a change in environment as well…for the likes of Marleau or Cheechoo by example. Both have proven to be able to put up good stats, as has Ryder, but are not working out this year. At the end of the day, what the Habs need is someone who they can rely on to score goals. Without a prolific scorer they will remain middle of the pack.

    sergei and andrei boss

  18. ferron says:

Never! You hear me, I will never drop the pipe ,never!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. hunter3333 says:

maybe edmonton would offer up a 4th round pick for him

  20. ryant says:

I'm so tired of these people saying this trade to the rangers and that trade to the rangers.so to all you ranger fans out there posting these trades trying to start rumors, Sundin, Hossa, Ryder who ever next time you post them stop and think about the rangers salary cap and how could it fit when they only have 2 million!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  21. Pronger44 says:

yep, I do like Ryder even though he’s in a slump this year, it would be sad to see him go, but if he’s not producing, we gotta let him go, Corey Locke I imagine could step into his role even though he’s a Center he can pot goals.

  22. Pronger44 says:

Just like the Sedins, theres two Kostitsyn’s genius.

  23. careyprice31 says:

yeh they called him problem is where are they gonna fit him in the lineup and where does that leave chipchura

  24. habsoverserver says:

despite montreal's below .500 record, they are eighth in the nhl in scoring and 6th in save percentage.

how they can be in the top ten in both offense and goaltending but have such a lousy record is beyond me.  how such a lousy record gets them to fouth in the East is even more confounding to me.

  25. rojoke says:

    It's called the loser point.

  26. habsoverserver says:

exactly correct. though everyone has the same shot at the point of shame.  but the OTL point is everything that is wrong with hockey.

  27. damien1169 says:

r u retarded??????????????? y jagr he's a free agent at the end of the season
and fischer is better than staal staal is komi y another and orr will be put on waivers
we gotta get tomas to talk to jagr since they are both from cech and at the end of the season we sign him

  28. jpmac says:

And how is Antropov doing these days?  What is it 6 or xeven without a point.

  29. jpmac says:

And how is Antropov doing these days?  What is it 6 or seven without a point.

  30. ferron says:

Stall is in the NHL and Fisher has 6 pts in 44 games and struggling to get ice time  and has yet to play 1 NHL game, Grabovski is a career AHLer, Ryder totals 8 pts this year and will be UFA by the end of the season, same for Streit and would Bouillon, Ryder, Bouillon have more of an impact with the habs as Jarg, Stall and Orr would!

      Are you retarded?
