If this signing is true they have 6 solid defensemen:

Leetch de Vries

Poti Kasparitis

Malakhov Mironov

plus Purinton and Tujin(no idea on spelling) who I think may have a chance to make the team, he has great skills and is a top prospect.

Why rebuild when you are one of the richest teams and there is the CBA nearing?

Mironov played well with the Rangers and the Hawks went completely downhill once they traded him. They need defensemen.

I think they are somewhat right, except they got this from Larry Brooks, who did not have it on the online NYPost.com edition, just the newspaper.

H1st.com is from NYC anyway.

But, it will be a good signing for the Rangers. I think Mironov is worth $2M, he is streaky....but with the right partner and when he's got the right system to follow, he is worth it.

Headache in the locker room? Doubt it....
