Redden to take pay cut to stay?

Tsn.ca and other media outlets are reporting that Wade Redden may be willing to take a pay cut to stay with the powerhouse Senators next season.

Redden is presently poised to become a UFA at the end of this season however it is becoming apparent that he is very happy with the situation that he is presently in. The tsn.ca article suggests that Redden is willing to take a cut on his 6.5 million dollar salary in order to stay in Ottawa. Apparently the group of players and the wining atmosphere are incentive to leave money behind in order to stay. It should not be overlooked that the article does note that Redden will have to talk to his agent before making any decisions. HTR believes that things could still get interesting.
