Roberts open to a Calgary return

The Calgary Herald is reporting that Gary Roberts is “open to a return to Calgary.”

It is reported in the article that “It’s no secret that at 42, the former all-star left-winger wants to end his battling career on a playoff team. Or that the Tampa Bay Lightning are in full accordance in trying to arrange such an exit.”

It is also reported that he would not cost Calgary very much to pick up and it is also noted that Roberts still believes that he has enough left to be able to contribute to another run at the cup.

While it is noted that Roberts really does not believe that a return to Calgary will happen it is reported that “It’d certainly be a nice ending, a kind of symmetry, to finish my career in the place I started.Calgary has a great team, a contending team. Great leadership..”
