Rumors from the Toronto Sun

Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun is reporting that big names such as Olli Jokinen, Marian Hossa, Brad Richards and Brad Campbell will take over the talk from Mats Sundin today.

One of the teams that has been in the thick of things in terms of making offers for big name players is the Vancouver Canucks. It is reported that the Canucks may try to resist the temptation to make a major splash now that they are once again back in playoff contention. It is also heavily speculated that the Canucks will not part ways with any of their top prospects such as Kesler, or Elder.

Brad Richards appears to one of the layers who is likely to be on the go. Ottawa, and Montreal could be in the running for Richards is things do not go as planed when making offers for Hossa.

Minnesota is the team that is often mentioned as the suitor for Olli Jokinen.

Buffalo and the Flyers could be trading partners as part of a deal that could see Jeff Carter go to Buffalo for Brian Campbell. A possible problem is that Buffalo does not like the Flyers and feel that they cheated and jumped the gun when they signed Briere to the huge mega deal this past offseason.
