Rumour: Corey Perry to Vancouver Canucks

Say this about the Canucks’ trade rumours with Anaheim: They are getting better.Last week, it was Vancouver’s supposed interest in George Parros, which was quickly shot down as a possibility. This week it’s a former Stanley Cup and Hart Trophy winner on his way to Vancouver. As the rumour goes, Enrico Ciccone, on the TV show ”Le Match,” said Patrice Brisebois claims a trade is being considered which would send Corey Perry to the Canucks for Cory Schneider, Mason Raymond and Keith Ballard.
We assume the Canucks will also have to throw in a third-round pick. The rumour, which features the same three players you see in just about every Canucks rumour these days, looks great for Vancouver. The Canucks get to offload Ballard’s contract along with acquiring the nasty, playmaking, point-producing Perry, who put up 50 goals last year. How do the Ducks fare in this rumour? Well, they do get the ready-for-prime-time Schneider. But they still have Jonas Hiller, signed for a couple more years at $4.5 million.

i dont think that would get the deal done.. i dont think anaheim would ask for schneider in return they have a young hiller whos already a number 1. I do think vancouver should be interested in perry tho. would work great with the sedins and add alot of grit and strength.

To anaheim: Burrows, raymond, ballard + 3rd
    To van: Perry
I think that will be closer to what anaheim will be looking for. If van gets perry i think they become way better and could provide alot better scoring and grit againt bruins if there was a rematch this year.

That would be highway robbery IMO. Perry won the richard trophy last year. His stock has to be similar to getzlafs. If Perrys going I'd really expect Hodgson ++ going the other way. If that really is the offer for perry there are a bunch of teams who would one up that in a second.

Gotta agree. It's a weird rumor since it doesn't really help them at all. Sure they get a backup to Hiller, they get a nice dman in Ballard and Raymond is decent but it's a bunch of relatively spare parts for a beast of a power forward.

I'd agree Hodgson, 1st rounder plus at the very least. Probably Schneider and a dman as the plus. A

I agree there is no point in Schnieder being in the mix unless a 3rd team is involved
