Sabres re-sign Afinogenov

Yet another multi-year signing for the Sabres arbitration eligible players. Out of 12 who filed, only 2 so far have made it to a hearing with only Adam Mair left to go.

Terms of the deal were not announced, as is usual with club policy.

I hear its a 3-year deal, the financial terms have not come in yet…

Looks like the Sabres had enough getting screwed with arbitration. Hopefully they didn’t sign him over 4 mil., 3.5 to 4 (considering what is being offered to other players over arbitration) should be about it for this exciting but streaky player.

Good for the Sabers. While it’s gonna be tough playing in the same divison again, I’m glad that Buffalo is going to be able to keep their core together.

    Its a 10 million dollar deal, 2006-20007=3.0mill 2007-2008=3.5 2008-2009=3.5

Good deal overall, but it questons JP dumont returning to the sabres

Worst road player in the league bar-none. In the playoffs, even Lindy Ruff said he disapears on the road.

Seeing as the owner is the cheapest owner in the league, I wonder who’ll get traded first???

  6. sayitaintso says:

yet they are up to 41 million dollars in spending right now, wow thats cheap!

by my calculations Buffalos payroll after Maxim’s deal is around the $31million mark….
