In a cruel twist of fate, the Aves beat the Flames, and had they posted a point vs Nashville would have done the improbable and made the playoffs.
As it is, not all is bad for Aves fans.
Their great leader and hero, and the most respected player in hockey today, Joe Sakic, has done the unimaginable and tallied 100 points for the 6th time in his lustrous career. I just want to say Congratulations to the man. And to all those naysayers who said Sakic wasn’t worth his contract or that he still isn’t an elite player in the League, chew on this!
