Scary Incident!
On Sunday, February 10th, during a game between the buffalo sabres and the florida panthers, a weird play happened when Florida captain Oli Jokinen fell, and teammate Richard Zednik was skating by, and got a skate to the throat from Jokinen. It was a frightening scene as there was lots of blood on the ice, but not 2 get into more details, but he was immediately rushed to a near by hospital, and acquired surgery. Later the news that the surgery went well, and he was in stable condition.
Obviously all the players, coaches, and fans were horrified, and they felt really bad for the incident. The delay took about 15 minutes to re-clean the ice, as everyone stood shocked.
I really hope that Zednik has a fast recovery, and i send him my best regards.
