Senators Sign Havlat

Forward Martin Havlat has been re-signed by the Ottawa Senators. Accoring to his agent, Allan Walsh, it is a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not released.

Earlier this week it was reported that Havlat was leaving Canada and going to the Czech Republic. Obvioulsy this caused Ottawa to bite the bullet and sign the young star.

This is a good move by Ottawa. Havlat is a key to the future of the organization.

Too bad they didn’t have him tonight. Wings took ’em to school.

This only makes them a bigger threat, and a bigger favourite

i hope the Sens win the East. I’d love to see a Sens-Avs Stanley Cup Fianl. 🙂

    “Wings took em to school”

I guess school was closed tonight cause all I see is a 3-2 OT victory of Detroit where the Sens dominated 23-19 in the shots on goals…

Don’t be so biased over your wings.

I`m glad the sens signed him,he is a great player

who can only help us more + he`s very exciting to watch. The only sad thing is this probably means they`ll send Vermette down.I believe they should keep him up,Fisher is still hurt(didnt watch the game last night so i think he is) and i believe they should keep Van Allen for spare. What makes the sens is great speed and Vermette is much faster than Van Allen and plays solid defensively for a rookie so there you go Jacques, you have no he`s not responsible defensively argument like last year with Spezza.

The Wings dominated the seans devensively! The “High-Powered offense” offense of the Sens was completely shut down last night. The Sens might have had more shots but none of them were any good. The wings had more scoring chances. Hasek is for real.

I heard that it was 1.6 million. So looks like they settled with the middle ground.

    Dude you contradict yourself there…

you say: “The Sens might have had more shots but none of them were any good”

and yet, they scored 2 goals.

And then you say: “Hasek is for real”.

How come he gave up 2 goals on no-good shots then??

    I don’t get it.

If the wings “took them to school” then what were they teaching them, how to blow a two goal lead? The wings owned the first period and the Sens owned the second and third, but Detroit held them to only the two goals. It was a close game played by two of the best teams in the NHL. Chara took a dumb penalty in overtime which gave the Wings the man advantage in OT, otherwise it would probably ended in a tie.

If Muckler gave a contract like that to me I would publically pull out my cock and balls and tell him

” Hey Fuckler, you can sign my fucking nuts”

and then I would probably shit on his desk.

    Good for Havlat!
