Sens not likely to make any moves before the Christmas Deadline

The NHL’s Christmas roster freeze goes into effect Thursday at midnight, but GM Bryan Murray likely won’t be doing anything. He has been trying to get either a top six forward or a defenceman with no luck. Since that’s the case, the roster will likely stay the same until at least Dec. 28 when the ban to make moves is lifted. If Cody Ceci turns out to be a long-term solution then the club will try to deal D Eric Gryba to give him the chance to play … D Erik Karlsson, who played 30 minutes against the Blues, may be hitting his stride but he isn’t taking any credit. “We had a rough patch but I think (against St. Louis) everybody played really well,” said Karlsson. “It makes it a lot easier for the individuals to play as well. The way the team played helped me.” http://www.ottawasun.com/2013/12/18/ottawa-sens-may-have-seen-last-of-devils-legendary-goaltender-martin-brodeur
