Sharks Sign Two

According to tsn: Forward Mark Bell and defenseman Christian Ehrhoff agreed to terms on contracts with the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.

Bell, who signed a three-year deal, was acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks two weeks ago in a three-team trade that sent defenceman Tom Preissing to Ottawa.

Bell, a prime candidate to play alongside Joe Thornton and Jonathan Cheechoo on the Sharks’ top line, was eligible for arbitration.

Ehrhoff, who got a two-year deal, set career highs with five goals and 18 assists last season, his second full NHL campaign. The German Olympic team member was a restricted free agent.

Looks like Doug Wilson is nailing everything down. He just needs to settle the goalie situation now. Toskala to Detroit perhaps?

toskala to detroit would be good as long as we could get a third team involved so that we could get a legitimate veteran defenseman. unless we are able to sign UFA sean hill. if we signed hill i think we would do with the dman crew that we got. cause ehrhoff is going to step up as our offensive dman to run the powerplay along with matt carle.

Sharks are looking good for next year, even with a goalie to get more with.
