I would assume that the goalie that was pulled would be giving the W. I could be wrong but I think when substituting for a 6th attacker the goalie that left for the forward is still considered to be the winning or losing goalie. I know this is the case for regulation but the goalie technically comes back to get the W or L.

Maybe think of it this way, if in regulation, you pull (lets say Reimer) and score. Reimer gets hurt on the bench or has an equipment issue that forces Gustavsson to come in. Gustavsson would 100% not get the W or L, and I assume Reimer would (although I'm not 100% sure on this either).

F#ck.... good question. lol
i dont understand why people think he should be fired. He is re-building a dead team. What exactly does everyone expect him to do? He isn't going to get a no.1 defense by trading Hemsky or any of his 3rd liners and he can't trade the Kid line. What is there left to do? He does not have the assets to trade for a huge player without giving up his top 3 pick, I wouldn't do that right now. Maybe in the off-season if the offer is insane, but not now.

Also with the Hemsky situation. He is not going to get a NHL defenseman for a rental player. At best he can get Blum + 1st (I doubt Nashville would ever do this), I can understand that the last thing Edmonton needs this year are more picks but I would still stockpile them, and if Edmonton gets a 1st for Hemsky, they can flip that first+ for a defenseman, definitely more possible than sending Hemsky for one.
Best line in the article: "they don’t even look like a team capable of stringing together five or six wins to build a comfortable lead...."

Cause stringing 5 or 6 wins in a row is just as easy as slinging up your tighty whities in the morning, eh?
There's a rule now that Regulation/OT wins are the first tiebreaker. You could look at is as a goalie getting pulled for an extra man on the ice for a delayed penalty too though.

Why wouldn't the shootout win do them any good? It's the same amount of points lol

But I guess if they needed to beat a team in regulation (as in they are competing with that team and if that team gets 1 pt they are still ahead of them), it could be an option... I'd just assume the goalie gets the win but don't know for sure... Maybe the 6th player gets credited? lol

Random question: Say it's late in the season and a team needs to win in OT (because the shootout win won't do them any good). They pull their goalie and win the game in OT. Does the goalie who was pulled still get credit for the win? Or if he doesn't where does the credit for that win go?
