Edmonton only saw Smyth as a 5million dollar player but by deadline day, they increased their offer to 5.4 million. But smyth and his refused to budge and it ultimately resulted in him being delt to the islanders. Personally, I now think Lowe is a complete idiot. If you are willing to go to 5.4, why the hell would you not dish out the extra 100G’s to keep your franchise player
