why fight it when he can sneak her pants so the flu runs away embarassed?

although he is a player who plays with ruse and intelligence instead of brawn that does not make him a perpetual diver, like his current status on the list shows. i can understand though that playing against him must be a nuisance for big defenders, since he is among the guys who really profit from the "new" method of rule exaction.

The Game now is a better game and it is because of the rule changes. its that simple. The crackdown on penalties is the main reason. It doesn't matter if a player falls down or not as soon as someone puts there stick on the player it is a penalty no matter how hard it is or not. So the player "diving" just has nothing to do with it. Players are just going to hve to learn that if they want to stop someone with the puck they are just going to have to skate with them and lay the body into them. If they can't do this then they shouldn't be in the NHL. Sooner or latter the players will learn this and there will be less penalties. Until then we have to watch a game loaded with Powerplays.

I just pointed out a fact. Then I simply asked a question, cause it seems obvious the majority of Leaf fans really dislike the new rules. I was wondering if some fans of the other teams felt as passionatly against the new rules. It was never meant to be a knock at you personally or your opinion. As for being anti-Leaf, being born and rasied in Toronto, dealing with fellow students and than co-workers that were Leaf fans. After putting up with the constant stupidity. Yes I have developed a biased. I'd be the first to admit it along with the fact that I would feel differently if I grew up elsewhere.

Just like you comment "Teams with a bunch of Ballerina's get a huge boost". Whats wrong with having a team with skilled players? As for strength and grit being gone, I have no idea what games you are watching. I'm watching the Pens-Habs game right now, and there is end to end action, along with grit and they are fighting for pucks. I guess if no bouncers don't drop the gloves and beat the shit out of eachother, there is no grit? How can there be no fighting for the puck? There is one puck and 10 guys on the ice.

As for cutting back on the BS, I believe someone mentioned that the NHL sends a list of divers out, if your name is on it, it's $1000. If that's true and in my opinion the list should be sent out once a week. That would end diving pretty fast.

i remember the play and when i first saw it in real time, i thought the call was bad. but when i saw the slow motion replay, i realized that i think that was a penalty. i agree it was iffy, but in slo mo it really looked like he just obstructed his progress a little bit too much. just my 2 cents. probably worth about that.

Call every hook and dive. Give the diver a miscounduct. but please do not get away from calling the hooking and holding penalties. We are back to the days when speed and skill ruled. Hitting is a skill that was becoming lost. Open ice hits were rare because the game was being played in the corners and behind the net...that was boring. I think the game is way better than 2003-2004. It was really unwatchable. I enjoyed the minor league and junior games more. Hitting is still in the game. Infact, when the players get use to the rules, open ice hits could be spectacular because of the speed the players get now. Fans, and hockey players, got use to thinking that physical hockey was hooking and holding then rubbing the player out at the end.
