Depends what you're looking for. If you're looking for a go to guy at this point who can make space for his teamates beacause of size, Sundin is no brainer. If you're looking for someone to play with a goalscorer and u need a playmaker, I'd say Foppa.

In my teams case (assuming we had a choice, even though obviously we dont cuz sundin wouldn't be traded here), I'd take forsberg to play with alfy.

If the Leafs make the playoffs, I think you will see Sundin play another few years. If the Leafs are out of it and Sundin gets traded, I suspect him to get a 2-3yr Deal. Imagine if Sundin and Forsberg went to Colorado.

Depends on what you need/want. If you want leadership, Sundin's your man. If you want someone who's been to the promised land, Forsberg's your man. Skill wise, Forsberg's superior. Injury wise or lack their of, Sundin's superior. Risk wise, Sundin's your better choice because he doesn't have health issues.

I dont doubt Mike Van Ryn as a good player, im just saying the math just isnt there unless another variable comes into the equation like trading away some cap space (preferably some defense to give him a spot in the lineup). I would love to have him on our team but a Belak/Van Ryn trade is so ridiculously lopsided even if u add a few parts. It cant happen cap wize eigther.

Well Belak for a 3rd yes sounds steep but at the same time u have to factor in that Florida is getting desperate for enforcing help which drives up the offer over the targetted players worth. When Belak broke David Koci's nose in a fight against Chicago, that definatly helped out his case.

Anyways about Colombus they can definatly afford the cap space and ca afford giving up youth. The have tons of top notch offensive prospects like Brule, Voracek, Brassard who IMO are all better then Picard, jury is still out on Brule tho.

And lastly, business is business, we have something Florida wants regardless of Martin's hate for the leafs. If it was the other way around (us wanting Roberts or something) u might have a point.

A 3rd round pick for Belak might be a bit steep, no? Anyway, I can't see the Leafs making a deal with Jacques Martin, who absolutely hates the Leafs and refused to trade Gary Roberts to Toronto out of sheer spite.

I can't see Columbus trading away Picard, a good young player with potential, for an expensive contract in Kubina.
