I would think so. Having a guy that is younger than you and the face of franchise limits upward mobility. A year or two behind Kipper who has been the gold standard for Finnish goalies the last decade might be attractive, but I'm just speculating.

Apparently he didn't want to be backup up to Price, he wanted a shot at number one. Not sure if that would still apply in Calgary or not. Hopefully the idea that Kipper is older and more likely to leave soon entices him.

I don't think its a huge win for Montreal, maybe a slight edge at best.

Both players are under preforming often injured players that were in the dog house for the former teams. Cammalleri is younger has a shorter term higher cap hit. Bourque lower hit longer term. The only advantage I really see is the 2nd round pick, which I don't think Calgary should have parted with.

I just don't see a big benefit to either team its not going to change the fact that they are both missing the playoffs.

I hope both players can turn it around. Cammy was great for the Flames the one year he was there. One can hope he can rekindle that flame.

Eklund says Bourque coming back to Montreal. If it is a straight up 1-for-1 this is a steal.
