Stars, Bruins keeping an eye on each other, could a trade be in order?

With the NHL trade deadline less than a month away, NHL scouts have been out and about getting in-person looks at the various players known to be on the trading block.

According to Twitter reports from The Fourth Period’s Dennis Bernstein and the Morning News’s Mike Heika, Boston has been one of the six teams that have attended the Stars’ last two games, along with Pittsburgh, Toronto, Columbus, Minnesota and the New York Rangers.

Monday, Stars scouts were in Ottawa to witness the Bruins’ 3-2 shootout win over the Senators according to the Ottawa Sun’s Bruce Garrioch, who hinted that Boston could be a possible match for Stars captain Brenden Morrow, the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks.

It could be the signs of a trade. It’s more than likely useless speculation.

If the two teams become trade partners, any deal involving Morrow would still have to be approved by the player due to his no trade clause.
