And Hayes is a flop. Tough to say cuz he's just 20, but at age 17 he was a point per game (14 in 14) with the US under-18 National team (NAHL), then at age 18 he went down to 10 points in 19 games (only 2 goals), and he dropped in the draft a lot. Then last year he struggled with Boston College and was playing 3rd line by the end of the year (13 pts in 36 games).
The silver lining is that apparently he's adjusted his game from power forward to more of a defensive specialist, so with his huge 6'6" frame maybe he could become an NHL'er one day as a shut down forward. But if you can't score at the lower ranks you don't have a great shot to make it.]]>
