STLToday speculates on the future of Guerin

STLToday.com proves an in-depth article on the Blues leading goal scorer, Bill Guerin. It is reported that the Blues are looking to deal him before the deadline in order to “capitalize on his trade value.” The main teams that appear to have interest in Guerin include San Jose, Anaheim and Detroit.

It is also reported that Guerin is a quality guy and a man of true character who is letting his on-ice production lead the way.

    i feel guerin is the highest possiblity for a pickup for Detroit.  Detroit lacks a power foward and a pure goal scorer and that is what guerin is.  Plus he can skate.  I hope he comes here.

    I haven't seen much of Guerin lately, but do you believe Guerin is still the player he was five years ago? 

    The description you give certainly fits Guerin of five years ago, but is he still capable of that high level of play in 2007?

    Really any nice big strong forward would be good in detroit right about now. There first line with Zetterberg Datsyuk Holmstrom is the most productive line in the league… But there second line is lacking some strength. Lang is the really only good second liner as Williams or Hudler aren't quite 2nd liners and Samuleson is out, Lucky Cleary is posting some unexpected numbers… So adding a big scorer like Gurien to play with Lang and possibly Cleary or Samulesson really gives the redwings a solid second line and a solid second power play unit.

    i heard they were going to trade weight to the habs and then trade guerin to the habs the next day for weight back
