Sunday Garrioch Rumors

If the Rangers are going to deal for Columbus RW Rick Nash — and sources say GM New York Glen Sather is interested — it’s going to come with a big asking price. The word is the Blue Jackets may demand C Brandon Dubinsky, prospect C Chris Kreider from Boston College and a No. 1 pick. Kreider was New York’s No. 1 pick in the 2009 NHL draft. The talk in Columbus is Nash may waive his no-movement clause to get a deal done….
Nashville GM David Poile will be active at the Feb. 27 deadline, but he won’t be dealing potential unrestricted free-agent D Ryan Suter or potential restricted free-agent D Shea Weber. Instead, the Predators are trying to bolster their lineup by adding a top-six forward. The issue: There are not many available, but Poile may look at Edmonton’s Ales Hemsky.

Absolutely not! I like Rick Nash, and the asking price I can live with, although I do want to see what Kreider can do at an NHL level…but not with that contract. The Rangers already have Gaborik (Gaborik only has 2 years left) and Richards with high contracts, there's no way they should make another 7-8 Million long term contract……unless it's for Weber.
