Sundin to break one of Gretzky's records this year

The first of Gretzky’s records to be broken was by Ray Bourque, the most consecutive all-star appearances. I’m not sure how many other records have been broken. But Sundin will almost definitely break a particular Gretzky record this year.
Sundin already holds the goals, assists, and points records for Swedes, most assists in a period by a Leaf, shared with Darcy Tucker, the longest serving European captain, and 15 overtime goals, but here’s the latest record he’ll break this year.

Mats Sundin has 13 consecutive 70 point seasons, if you don’t count the shortened 94-95 season. He’s tied in that department with Wayne Gretzky. According to TSN, even while missing seven games this year, Sundin is on pace for 76 points in seventy-five games.

Just another reason the greatest Maple Leafs in history belongs in the hall of fame.
