Svelha to Retire
Tsn.ca has just reported that veteran Panther D-man Robert Svehla will retire citing a contract disput. Looks like Dudley chose not to honor Fletcher’s previous agreement with Svelha regarding a scouting job and financial support for his former European team. The down side is that he will be missed. The Panthers are weak on defense even if they do pick up Boumeester. The upside is that it will free up around 3 million for ufa’s. Maybe they will go after Kasperitis as rumuored. Who else do you all think could fit in there?
