Tampa Bay to trade St. Louis and a Canuck Tid bit

TheStar.com is reporting that “Marty St. Louis, rather than Vinny Lecavalier, may be the Tampa Bay Lightning star that could be on the move.” + HTR provides a tidbit on Alex Burrows.

It is reported that multiple teams have called the Lightning to acquire about the availability of St. Louis despite the fact that he has a no trade clause. HTR notes that what makes him especially attractive is the fact that his contract size is only 4 million per year who is very affordable for a star player.

It is noted that “the offensively challenged Blueshirts might be the team that would benefit most by St. Louis’ talents. New York has significant assets in prospects, including Brampton winger Evgeny Grachev.”

On another note rumors are floating around that the Canucks may look to deal Burrows before the deadline due to the fact that he is unrestricted at the end of this season. HTR believes that Burrows is not going anywhere and if anything is likely to resign with Vancouver, the team that gave him the start to his career when everyone else overlooked him.
