Needs to win a cup. Bottom line. Those are pretty impressive numbers though. We'll see this year in the playoffs. These guys have spoiler written all over them. San Jose does not want to play Dallas in the first round.

But I also feel confident that if Fleury slides, Conklin could step in. He has a lot to prove and I think he could become a Kevin Weekes to Fleury's Irbe.

Before we debate this further, you need to tell me, how many Leaf games have you watched this year? But TRUTHFULLY. I prefer to debate contentious issues with people who actually watch the games rather than those who just rely on the NHL standings.

I watch the games for enjoyment, not to "rub it in" to other people who I hope watch for the same reason.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that the only teams you listed that don't have better goaltending than Halak could provide are LA, Chicago, Ottawa, and possibly Atlanta and Carolina. And that's not to mention that LA has Bernier coming up, who has the potential to steal a few Vezina's away from Price one day.
Price is going to be great one day, but no way has he been the best goalie in the league this year. One day he probably will be, but not this year. I don't get a chance to follow the AHL very closely, but I'm pretty sure that Brodeur, Nabokov, Turco, Giguere, Bryzgalov, DiPietro, and Thomas all spent the whole season in the show, and I think they may be each be a little more deserving of the Vezina this year.

its not about being a homer. its fact. toskala cost the leafs logan cotoure and a 2nd rounder for the same results raycroft brought toronto. they are goign nowhere again this year. a true top guy like price can carry his team to high in the standings, push a proven top number 1 out of town and actually get his team to the playoffs. toskala will be nothing more than a 4 million waste with the leafs buried on the bottom.
