The best player ever?
He is not the best player ever yet, but he is the best player in the world right now.
Sidney Crosby has 51 points in 28 games, which is almost two points pre game. He is not as good of a goal scorer as Ilya Kovalchuk, or Marian Hossa, but goal scoring is the only thing Sidney Crosby is not the best at in the NHL. Wow, did anyone see the highlights tonight.
He is such a good player maker, he could probably make Marc Chouinard look like a goal scorer (and make him not look like the worst player in the NHL). I think by the time he retires he will be remembered as the best player EVER! He won’t break Gretzky’s goal record, but he will break his assist, and point record. Is there anyone in the world who looks at Pittsburgh’s lineup, and says “What did they give Malkin, and Crosby those 3 million dollar bonuses, that they didn’t have to have, instead of going after a veteran defensive defensemen like they need (cough, cough, Zdeno Chara), or why not a linemate for Crosby, and Malkin? (cough, cough, Petr Sykora).”
