well, to be honest it has nothing to do with money.

I wanted to release the free version of the UPP on HTR 1 week after it was ready (no matter the date) so I would be able to reward the folks that made a donation.

it just happened that we finished it on Sept. 14 so 1 week later (tomorrow) it'll be released for free on here.

Why do you think they release it so late ..? I'll let you think a bit ... no clue .. wow .. try arder !!

If your so dawm broke, just make some overtime at your job and donate something to this guys who work their ass off to please all of us !!

FYI, I have the UPP since september 1rst and it cover all my draft pool.

And looking at the UPP, it is worth the donation I make !

The office pool I do has the draft day, traditionally, on the Monday before the season start (gives us wiggle room if some people cannot make it to the meeting, to move it to Tuesday -- it is, after all, work). This year those damned Yankees from California decided to forego tradition and open the season on Saturday, in September. Still, my draft stays where it is. Tradition.

Back to the point -- it doesn't make much sense to hold the draft too early. What's the point, really?

I have many pools going as well and for each of them we wait to be as close as possible of season's start before drafting.

I don't see the point in making a draft almost 1 month before the start of the season.

I am traditionally in 3 pools each year.

None of them will be drafting for at least 2 weeks? Why not wait until closer to the season so you can see who is getting timein training camp, who is likely to make the team... what injuries happen...

We had the very same problem on our Hockey website. Our rankings are coming out too late.

A draft guide is useful in late August or early September. Otherwise, most drafts would've been completed already. September 21st is a a little more than a week away from the start of the season. I doubt that helps anybody.

Still, since I did projections for players, I know how hard it is to research everything and organize who does what to have the most accurate tool when it comes to a draft guide.

Do no misunderstand me. I highly appreciate the work that has gone into such a resourceful tool. I just find it a pity that most of us won't be able to fully use it to maximum efficiency.

Look forward to the release of this thing. And thank you HTR!

The 2007-07 UPP has been released as planned on September 14 for all the VIP Members.

The official free release on HTR will be on September 21.

Just in TIME!!! This will give me a week to prepare for my draft.
