They Aren't Done Yet
The coyotes made a huge splash in the free agent market with the signing of Ed Jovonaski, however reports out of Glendale say the Coyotes arent done yet“We’re not satisfied with the lineup at this point,” he said.
The number of potential impact forwards has shrunk in recent days as several have signed new deals, including center Jason Arnott, who agreed to a five-year, $22.5 million contract with Nashville on Sunday. “We had pretty extensive talks with his representative,” Barnett said. “But, ultimately, we didn’t get to the compensation level that Nashville did.”
So with the coyotes missing out on arnott they still are looking for that top scoring line forward to try and patch the lack of offense the coyotes have. The yotes do have guys on there team that can score with the likes of Doan, Johnson, Reinprecht, comrie, and most definatley Nagy. Howver none of these players can come in on a regular basis and come through when it matters most. Watching them as a group you can spot a bit of a confidence issue. So who will the coyotes go after? JR some people might say, as he lives in phoenix, however as a fan i would like to see them shoot for the likes of samsanov, or even Ruutu who could compliment Nagy and Doan.
Note* reports from azcentral.com also say the coyotes are looking to sign RFA Mike Comrie and avoid arbitration.
