If that happens the pick gets worse and if Getz plays well for his new team in turn that pick decreases as well. It could go both ways, not too mention many high picks bust, just a fact.

Use getzlaf to get a solid d-man.. maybe 2, a supporting forward, a good prospect and a pick (low or high depending on the prospect) and then your pick in this years draft could very well play next year and i honestly think could put up around 60 points. Anaheim has ryan, getzlaf, perry right now that all play a power forward style game.. they need a pure goal scorer. They have the grit but i think every team needs one player that can dangle and snipe at any point when he has the puck. I think trading getzlaf would set anaheim up for competing hard for a playoff spot and do well next year.next year: (using leafs as an example trade partner)ryan – grigorenko – perrykulimen- koivu – selannehagman- cogliano- kadrismith-pelly- pelly- parrosvisnovski – lydmangunnarson- beauchimenfowler- sbisahillerellisId look for a better number 2 centre and thats assuming selanne comes back another year but that sets anaheim to be competitive for a long time and have a lot of cap room to make a splash in the free agency for a number 2 centre and have grigorenko,kadri (or other prospect), and smith-pelly in the farm system.. scary.
