Tonight is the Night!

Two very important games to keep track of tonight. Phili vs NYI and Vancouver vs Anahiem. IF phili loses another inter-division game this early in the season, someone in management will realize that making the playoffs is not happening this year without a change. Meanwhile, Vancouver is facing the team that completely embarresed them on November 6th. They were shut out 6-0 (all even strength goals) and frankly looked like an AHL team. IF Vancouver loses, expect them to go after some scoring, honestly trading ohlund would not be that bad, Luongo is paid to be a star and he should be able to hold up a team with an inexperienced blueline. How about the following trade if Vancouver and Phili both lose tonight:

Forsberg, Meyer, either Carter or Umberger (7.275 M against Cap)
– FOR-
Morrison, Ohlund, Bulis, either Schnieder or a 2nd rdp (8 M against Cap)

Vancouver gets some scoring help and Phili stops worrying about Forsberg and gets a solid d-man to pair with Pitkanen. The teams would look like this:

Vancouver:
Carter Forsberg Naslund
D.Sedin H.Sedin Pyatt
Burrows Kesler Cooke
Shultz Green Linden

Mitchell Salo
Bieksa Meyer
Edler Krajicek

Luongo
Sabourin

Philadelphia:
Gagne Morrison Knuble
Calder Richards Umberger
Bulis Robataille Kapanen
Nedved Sanderson Fedoruk

Ohlund Pitkanen
Rathje Gauthier
Hatcher Timonen

Nittymakii
Esche
